What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Petrarch's House for its authentic and peaceful atmosphere, offering a genuine glimpse into the life of a pivotal humanist. The original frescoes and the picturesque town setting are highlights, though some suggest modernizing the visitor experience with digital resources and improved lighting.
"A truly beautiful place, home of one of the most important humanists in Europe - Petrarca - who predates Spinoza with several centuries. So this is a place to take into one's heart, mind and soul, together with the work of Petrarca. I hope that the museum can raise funds to digitalise the texts, make brochures and a downloadable app to present all the information. Maybe some interactive devices, presenting Petrarca. And work with a good light company like iGuzzini for the lighting. To replace the big text stands and lamps that are outdated and take away the immense feel of the building. Give this museum a grand and present us more of Petrarca, a humanist visionair!"

"Love visiting here! It’s €6 for the entrance fee and you can pay by credit card. There’s many small rooms in the house. Each room has nice demonstrations on the wall frescoes, had a nice time appreciating the frescoes. From all the stories and the histories of the house, it’s obvious that the poet is very well respected in Italy"
