"We took a short walk with our children (ages 5-6) until we saw a cove leading down to the pebble beach. The walk is easy; the path is situated between trees, providing some shade. To reach the pebble beach, you have to descend a bit through the woods. Perfect for kids! Tip: bring water shoes!"

"A natural area of immense beauty.
The pine forest, the trails, the beaches

We enjoyed it on a January day, taking a circular route of about 8 km, first climbing the "poggi" (hills) and then descending to the coves, following the coast from south to north, also enjoying a beautiful sunset from Cala Martina. Absolute peace, fantastic scenery, highly recommended."

"12 km of absolute beauty: I did a circular route starting from the Cala Violina rest area and climbing the hills to see the view from above. First I climbed Poggio Sentinella (215m) and from here I saw the entire coast reaching Punta Ala until I could see the island of Montecristo in the background. Then, continuing towards Puntone di Scarlino, I reached Poggio La Guardia (212m) and descended to Portiglioni with a view of the Gulf of Follonica. From Portiglioni I returned along the panoramic road path no. 1 to Cala Martina. The island of Elba can be seen perfectly from here! Once above Cala Martina, I passed the Garibaldi Monument and headed towards Cala Violina, wonderful as always! From here, still heading south, I reached Cala Civette and then climbed back up to Poggio Carpineta where I saw a spectacular sunset 🤩. Continuing on path no. 8 I returned to the rest area truly, truly very satisfied 😀💚🌊"
