"The Ducal Palace of Urbania.
This beautiful building, located about 1 km from Urbania, was the summer residence of the Dukes of Urbino, who came here to hunt. Surrounded by greenery, it has hosted numerous illustrious guests, Renaissance humanists and poets, including Torquato Tasso. The structure can be reached from the Ducal Palace of Urbania via a path along the Metauro River, where knights and ladies once traveled upstream by boat. Later, around the mid-18th century, it became the Convent of San Giovanni Battista. Today, it houses the Civic Museum's workshops, offering courses in artistic craftsmanship and ceramics, with sections on shaping, decoration, and restoration."
