What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the site for its well-preserved Roman mosaics and the historical impression of the baths, particularly the Frigidarium. The knowledgeable guides are frequently highlighted as a major asset, enhancing the understanding of the site's significance. However, some visitors have experienced issues with inconsistent opening hours and the necessity of advance reservations, leading to disappointment.
"Lovely site. Has been restored but still has a strong impression of the history of the Romans. Quite small but lots of detail to see. Opening hours weren't quite as listed but the guide walked us down and unlocked the door. You buy tickets at the museum 5 minutes walk away. It's well worth walking around town anyway, plenty more to see. Our dog was allowed in the baths (but not the museum). The floor was a metal grid so not very comfortable on the paws though. Well worth visiting if you are in the area and it is open"

"Closed. Reservations needed. So sad. Today is Saturday so it could have been open. See the picture to make reservations"

"The Roman Baths area, essentially the "Frigidarium" alone, was uncovered during work in the basement of the building above.
The floor mosaics are well preserved in some places.
To enter, you must purchase a ticket with a scheduled guided tour.
During the visit, in addition to the excellent guide who explains all the details, you can read the various information panels.
The tour costs three euros and lasts about twenty minutes."
