"The Combo bridge is one of the symbols of old Bormio.
The current structure dates back to 1591 as the previous one was destroyed by a flood. From the bridge you have a beautiful view of Bormio and the Alps above.
The bridge is enriched by two hats and modest frescoes, one of which relates to San Giovanni Nepomuceno, protector of floods.
The powerful Frodolfo torrent flows under the bridge and after crossing the river you enter one of the departments of Bormio: Il Combo"
Simone Molinelli Osteopata- Fisioterapista
"The Combo Bridge is an extraordinary example of local historic architecture, offering a breathtaking view of the Valfurva valley. Halfway along the arch over the Frodolfo stream are two votive chapels, one depicting St. John Nepomuk, protector from the raging waters, and the other depicting the transport of the Holy Cross to the Spanish town of Bellpuig, with which Bormio is actually twinned. The old customs house once stood nearby. An enchanting, truly beautiful place."
