What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Casa Stradivari as a beautiful and exciting experience, particularly for classical music enthusiasts and those interested in violin making. The opportunity to see students crafting instruments and enjoy a recital on a handmade piece is a highlight. Some note that it might be less engaging for those without a specific interest in the craft.
"Good place to visit for classical music enthusiasts. Stradivari briefly lived and created instruments here, and it was recently refurbished by the Cremonese Violin Academy for use as a student workshop. I booked a tour ahead of time (I don't think you can just walk in). You get to see some violin crafting students work on creating instruments with the Cremonese tradition. Brief tour of the house is included in the tour, though there isn't too much to see so I don't recommend it to non-classical music fans. There is also a brief recital played on one of the instruments created in the workshop."
