What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Museo e Giardini di Pitagora is praised for its innovative concept of blending mathematics with art in an outdoor setting, and for its inclusion of Leonardo da Vinci reproductions. However, many visitors are disappointed by the lack of maintenance, the superficial connection to Pythagoras, and the absence of English translations, leading to a feeling that the site is 'unloved' and could benefit from more care.
"Deeply Disappointing
This is the worst museum Iโve visited in all my travels. There is absolutely no depth about Pythagoras โ nothing insightful, nothing engaging. The only reference is a pop-art-style drawing at the entrance, more reminiscent of a Marilyn Monroe tribute than ancient philosophy. The rest of the exhibition feels extremely provincial, perhaps suitable for a primary school at best. The garden and sculptures lack any harmony, and even the toilets donโt meet basic museum standards โ they feel more like public restrooms. A real disappointment for a site that should honor such a brilliant thinker."

"A very interesting museum with engaging exhibits. However not all exhibits had translations in alternative languages. This necessitated using google translate which was very time consuming"

"We really enjoyed visiting this museum, but despite the interesting building, great photos inside, and interesting sculptures outside, the place felt truly unloved. The place needs volunteers to work on the gardens and lift the place. Sculptures were worn out and in some cases broken, with no attempt to garden around them. By all means leave wildflower & wildlife areas, but allow visitors to see the sculptures, and visit them easily. A bit like Crotone, this place needs more civic pride, and a realisation it's a great place to visit, it just needs some love and some gardening."
