"A big and beautiful open-air museum that shows both the everyday life of ordinary people and the world of the local elites. There are also animals, which make the visit even more interesting! Unfortunately, all the texts are only in Italian or German, so having a translator is a must. We spent about three hours there, but could have easily stayed longer."

"This is one of my favorite museums in South Tyrol. It's fascinating to see how people lived in the Alps for centuries and I am always struck by the rustic beauty of the traditional buildings. It's rare to see so many in one place and it truly is a cultural gem, not just for South Tyrol but for all of Europe. You feel as though you're stepping back in time to another world. Such a shame that it's often overlooked by tourists, but that also means it's a very quiet and peaceful place. I would give this place so many more stars if I could and I highly recommend a visit. It's enchanting."
