While the ruins are not as grand as other sites, the museum's artifacts and the pleasant park environment make it a worthwhile visit for a couple of hours. Some wish for more excavation and development to enhance its tourist appeal.
"I really enjoyed visiting this museum and park. I’m not an expert at all, and just wanted to wander in a quiet place with shade, away from the beach crowds. It was a complete delight, and I learned a lot too. There are ample areas to sit, and beautiful photo ops. It’s a highly relaxing space to spend 1-1.5 hours out of the strong sun."

"The site of ancient Naxos is mostly unexcavated and under developed as a tourist attraction, so don't expect mind-blowing wonders when visiting. However, for €4 you get to visit a old but nice little museum displaying interesting artefacts found there and you get to walk around the large park, which is quite pleasant with plenty of places to just sit and enjoy the quiet and scenery. Hopefully, more will be done with this place in the future as I feel it has potential if more excavation takes place and what is found is used to attract more tourists."

"nice archeological park, the cats are really cute and beware: it can be very very hot to walk around in : I would suggest bringing some acqua. shame that the student ticket is not offered but only the eu 18-25 youth discount. I came with some friends from overseas who had to pay full price despite usually qualifying for a reduced price"
