Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Medieval Aqueduct Walkway for its beautiful views of Gubbio and the surrounding valley, calling it a 'suggestive route' and a 'beautiful walk.' The accessibility and free nature of the site are also highlighted. Some confusion exists regarding the exact location of the Roman aqueduct, and the non-circular nature of the path requires planning for the return journey.

"This a free site. If you don’t like heights then a quick visit to the park side will work. It is well preserved."

Debra Coble

"A beautiful walk along the medieval aqueduct with spectacular views of Gubbio and the valley. The entire route takes approximately 1:30-2:00 hours.

The route is mostly on a dirt road, but it's flat and easily accessible.
If you do a loop starting from the SR 298, the first section has a few climbs and requires caution with traffic, but you'll then easily reach the town center near the Palazzo Ducale.

Note that there are some steps at the end of the route.

Dedicated parking is available, although it requires walking back (rather than returning to town).

Recommended for those who enjoy hiking and picturesque views."

Elisa C.

"An easy trail through the woods leads to the center of Gubbio in no more than two hours. It's an easy trail, suitable for virtually everyone, with beautiful views. I personally didn't understand where the Roman aqueduct was, but perhaps I just didn't know how to look. The only drawback is that it's not a circular route, so you have to walk about 2 km back on the main road. I believe it's SS298 to return to the parking lot. Or you can do the reverse route. Still, it's a nice walk."
