What Travellers Say

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking beauty and architectural grandeur of the Duomo cathedrals in both Florence and Milan. The piazzas themselves are described as vibrant and central to the city experience. However, some find the areas can be overwhelmingly crowded, and dining options directly on the piazza are often noted as being overpriced.

"I was there on a Monday which was surprisingly very quiet. Aquila is still under construction with a lot of the shops still not opened and quite a few vacant looking to be rented. However, the church itself is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend you spend some time reflecting as you walking to the cappella and view the memorial wall of names of the 309 people that have passed away during the 2009 earthquake. A book with showing every person that was killed with their photos provides a haunting memory of the people that have been impacted."

Josie S

"It is the main square of L'Aquila. The heart of the city. You can find there the cathedral, and Santa Maria del Suffragio church (also known as church of Anime Sante - Blessed Souls )"

Ale

"Lovely area. Under remodeling and looking forward to the new construction project to be completed."
