"Winning souls to Jesus"
Bruce Tipton
"In the small Piazza della Pomposa, nestled between two of the main streets of Modena's historic center, stands a church dedicated to Mary. Austere on the outside, with exposed terracotta bricks, the interior is richly decorated with side altars, while the central nave has a solemn air thanks to the illumination from the large window behind the main altar. Of great historical, yet secular, interest, this church houses the remains of one of the fathers of our country's historic eruption, Ludovico Antonio Muratori. Not far from his home, the building is located in the historic center. Parking is available outside the restricted traffic zone, but it is easily reached on foot during a stroll through the city center streets."
Marco Torazzi
"Renovate it! It's too beautiful to fall apart. With a wise collaboration between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, citizens, Confindustria (Italian Industrialists' Association), the Municipality, and trade associations, it can be done. But let's do it quickly!"
