What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Stanguellini Museum as a top-tier destination for automotive enthusiasts, often highlighting its personal atmosphere and the exceptional quality of its rare car collection. Many recommend guided tours for deeper insights and consider it a highlight of any Modena visit, sometimes even preferring it over larger, more commercial museums.
"A guaranteed 5 star experience for any petrol head visiting Modena. Please note, entry is only via reservation through their website. We reserved our entry very last minute - about three hours before the visit, but we had no problems getting in. As far as parking goes, I am not aware of any convenient parking directly at or near the Museo; parking in front of the dealership next door didn't seem like a good idea, so please check with Stanguellini staff in advance.
We recommend a guided tour, it was informative and well structured. Every car has a backstory you might miss out on without a guide. Regardless, the collection itself is breathtaking, with some must-see rare cars, so even strolling around by yourself you will find plenty enough to admire. There's also a small motorcycle section in one corner and a few engines on stands in the back which can be quite fascinating to look at for those more mechanically inclined. Last but not least, the museo is filled with memorabilia, collectibles, paintings, posters... You get the idea. If you want to know more about a specific car or other showpiece, your questions will more than likely be answered by the guide.
Inside the museum you will find a souvenir shop with a good choice of items to buy if you wish to. This is one of the top museums to visit in Modena and if you find yourself visiting the Ferrari museum, do stop by Stanguellini museum as well, you won't regret it."

"An experience heavily recommended if you like historic cars. It is a great museum with greatly conserved history with all the cars and parts exposed. The staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions. With out a doubt it is one of the museums with the best race-cars collection."

"Unfortunately I picked a bank Holiday to visit so every museum except the Ferrari and Lamborghini museum were closed. This was still the highlight of my visit to Modena though."
