Historic towns in the southeast—Modica, Noto, Ragusa?
We are in the midst of a 3 week trip around Sicily, and tomorrow we head to an AirBnB near Lido di Noto. While there for 5 days, we want to explore some of the historic towns in the region. Are the ones in the title the must hits? Or should we put another on our radar? We…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Modica's train station is noted for its lack of staff and potential for unexpected bus replacements, which can cause confusion. While ticket machines are functional, travelers advise booking in advance and checking schedules diligently. The town itself is highly praised for its beauty and unique atmosphere.
"There was bus replacement service on the day when we arrived at the station. No such information was available on train Italia website.
Also there were two employees at the station but they did not bother to inform us that there is no train service, and that the bus replacement departs from few streets away.
It’s total incompetence and ignorance, especially as we were the only people at the station."

"A great place to get lost. It is like an open air museum and all the alleyways are so beautiful. You can see many cats in the city."

"It says BUS, but there's no Bus it actually means train and only train.. so it wasted all of my time and a few money.
There's 0 stuff here, but the ticket machine has multiple languages, so it was simple to use.
Ps. This place is shut down.. but the machine is still selling the tickets. Waiting all night, all I got was an empty stomach and wallet and a dizzy head. Thank u so much Modica."
