While some find the art collection less compelling than the architecture, the overall experience is frequently described as worth the cost and a pleasant escape from crowds.
"Small but beautiful museum. It was high intellectual and spiritual pleasure to know new (for me) great Italian artist Nicoletto Semitecolo"

"Buildings were absolutely amazing, as the tours are divided in two : the baptistery and the palace. Audioguides are mandatory for the former. We were surprised that the baptistery’s frescoes were of extraordinarily high quality (and we had never heard about them!), and we were very few tourists, which made for a very pleasant experience. The palace was incredible, the decoration was exquisite, although the art inside was of poor quality to my taste."
Mathias
"The building is definitely worth seeing, the collection a bit less."
