"For us, this was one of the most beautiful days on the island!
Upon arrival, we were lucky enough to find a small, free parking spot.
Afterward, we hiked up. The first part of the climb is easy, with stunning views. There's little shade, so it gets hot when the sun shines, but we found it manageable.
At the top, you'll come to the WWII tunnels. We entered the tunnel. It looks daunting and is dark, but it's only a short distance. Afterward, you'll find a new path, and it's really worth it!
You'll come to a fork in the trees. Turning left takes you to the tip of the peninsula with truly stunning views. It's a more challenging path over the rocks, though.
Turning right leads to a fairly shady climb before returning to the path.
After the tunnels, it's not suitable for strollers.
We completed all the trails in about two hours.
Afterward, we rented canoes to go around the peninsula. We even swam in the small lagoon (the rental staff can tell you more). Highly recommended!
We did this with three children aged 9, 11, and 13. (They're used to a lot of walking.)"
