Reviews Summary

Rifugio Rosetta Pedrotti boasts an incredible location with stunning panoramic views, making it a visually impressive stop. However, many visitors report a disappointing experience regarding staff friendliness and value for money, citing high prices for amenities and a subpar breakfast. The basic toilet facilities and noisy beds also detract from the overall stay for some.

"First time I stayed there end June 2024 while doing AV2. Looked more like a hotel than a refuge. The boss was really unfriendly, looking at you as you were about to steal something.... Staff okay but didn't seem too happy to work there. Clean enough, beds okay.
This year while doing a part of AV2, I got a bad knee on the descend from Cima di Vezzana, with the intention to sleep in bivacco Minazio. I realized that I can't continue, and wanted to stop at Rosetta (even though I didn't like the arrogant keeper's attitude). I was told it was full, with the eyebrows up, like "okay, now keep going...". I asked for a bed in the emergency shelter. They said that only after 8 PM they accept people in that (time was about 5 PM). So... in my mind a refuge is a place that people can rely that they can stay overnight, no matter the time they arrive. Usually I don't give bad reviews, I rather don't write them, but the arrogance and unfriendly attitude of the keepers of this CAI refuge (it is like they own it!!!) made me spend these 10 minutes on making other people aware that the look from outside is not what you get inside. If you can, skip this one and go either bivacco Minazio, Brunner or rifugio Treviso (if you have enough time, certainly). Happy trekking in these magnificent Dolomites!!!"

"Firstly the staff were nice, and the prices pretty reasonable, but it stopped there. The strategy of the hut seemed to be getting as much money out of people as possible and lack of focus on creating a positive experience for hikers. The showers were 8 euro which is a 20% increase than any other hut, the food average but worse of all the breakfast was shocking being minimal stuff with the nerve to charge people an extra 5 euro for ham and cheese which for every other Refugio was part of the price to stay. It's not cheap to stay at these huts, so value for money was pretty poor. They wouldn't consider providing and extra pillow either, it's not much of an ask. We did observe the staff eating breakfast as we were leaving and in comparison they are like kings. Not a great experience and I hope they improve their customer service in the future."

Wayne Gaskell

"We spent 4 days there. When it comes to the staff in general - lack of interest, no smiles, no positive vibes. We felt that we are interrupting their day while being there. Unpleasant and unfriendly. Prices are high and the quality of food was poor. You have to pay extra for everything. Even the large beer is not a large beer in fact as it is only 400ml. For sure you can find way better place nearby where you do not feel like an enemy. Overpriced. I wouldn’t come back for sure."
