From the main road, just ahead of the village church, there's an arrow pointing to the hermitage. Passing through a private building and following a dirt road, you reach the hermitage. Simply open the door to enter, which is practically carved out of the rock. The open space in front offers a beautiful view."

"The Hermitage of San Rocco is a small hermitage nestled in the rock, located in the municipality of Fagnano Alto, in the province of L'Aquila. It dates back to the 18th century, and its rocky interior features rocky walls, on one side of which are hung white embroidered cotton cloths, as votive offerings for the graces received from the local population. To reach it, park in front of the church of Sant' Antonio Abate in Ripa Fagnano (AQ) and continue on foot. After a short distance, there is a sign directing you to continue right along a small road that is initially grassy and then becomes a dirt road. After about 300 meters, you reach the hermitage, which is always open. A lovely sight to see."
