Reviews Summary

"Lovely place, and good for winter ducks"
Edward Mueller
"The long, narrow lake is an enchanting place, where you're completely immersed in nature, with beautiful walking trails to admire the beauty and silence of this place.
Birdwatching from a hide is also wonderful, allowing you to admire so many different species of birds.
The hides themselves, however, are poorly maintained and left in disrepair, almost abandoned, with the signs inside broken or faded, and no seating.
It's also a shame that there's no main information center for any initiatives that could be organized here, and where I rarely see staff, such as guards or those in charge, trying to enhance everything.
I'm giving it 4 stars because much more could be done, but I still recommend spending a different kind of day in this magical place."

"Lago Lungo e Ripa Sottile Nature Reserve: a charming place. It's a shame the signage has been overdue for decades, yet no one is doing so. The tourist center is permanently closed, and all the infrastructure is in a state of neglect. The lake waters are severely eutrophic."
