What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about truffle hunting in Tuscany, describing it as an unforgettable highlight of their trips. The passion of the guides, the intelligence of the truffle dogs, and the delicious meals featuring freshly found truffles are frequently praised. It's often described as an authentic, immersive experience that offers a deep connection to the Tuscan land and its culinary traditions.
"My husband and I went on the luxury experience a couple of days ago, and loved every second of it! Massimo picked us up from the train station. He is very knowledgeable about the truffles and shared generously! And we met the lovely Beci, his 10 year old lagrotto romagnolo who has been trained to hunt truffles since she was a puppy! She found a few for us, and it was really lovely to see her in action. We headed back to the house and met his other dogs and lovely sister Letizia, who cooked us a really simple but sumptuous truffle meal!! The amount of truffle used in the food was very generous. 8 year old Sky (a retriever) was our lovely companion at lunch, at our request. It was just an overall heartwarming and great experience— would highly recommend!!"

"This was the most amazing experience, and I was smiling so hard all morning. You get to meet all four dogs, and then head to the woods with lovely people and watch the chosen dog do what to them is a fun game. It’s like magic. I can’t think of a better way to spend the morning. We had a lot of luck and came back with four black truffles and one white one, and then Letitzia showed us how to cook an amazing meal with them and paired spot on local wines for eating. I cannot express what a great experience this was. Totally worth every penny."

"We had the absolute pleasure of going truffle hunting in Tuscany with Massimo and his wonderful dog Mela, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our honeymoon.
Massimo was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the land and the tradition of truffle hunting. He took the time to explain the history, the techniques, and even shared personal stories that made the experience feel so special. We ended up finding two black truffles!
After the hunt, we were welcomed into Massimo’s family home, where his sister Letizia prepared a phenomenal four-course meal, all made from scratch and incorporating the truffles we had just found. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the local wines and prosecco paired perfectly.
The whole experience was warm, authentic, and unforgettable—like being welcomed into someone’s home, not just signing up for a tour. If you're in Tuscany, this is something you simply can’t miss. Would highly recommend—worth every penny!"
