After a long hike, we stopped by this mountain lodge and it was absolutely worth it! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a real local charm.
The food was delicious and homemade, perfect for recharging after exploring the trails. But the real highlight was the local herbal rakija — smooth, flavorful, and infused with mountain herbs. It’s a must-try if you want an authentic taste of the region!

"I visited yesterday while coming down from the via ferrata Portogruaro / via di Guerra (a beautiful and well-secured route, by the way). Even though the rifugio was officially closed for the season and the kitchen wasn't operating, the kind lady there still made me a delicious sandwich. She absolutely didn't have to, but she saw I was hungry and went out of her way to help. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. The rifugio itself is wonderfully located and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended — thank you, and see you again!"

"Beautiful and breathtaking location, the views are amazing. There are plenty of observation points and picnic tables outside, while inside there are both a bar and a dining area. Staff is friendly and helpful, the food is hearty and good, drinks are cold, spirits are homemade. The only small downside is the only restroom, which is understandable given the location. Definitely worth the hour long hike."
