You can certainly spend an afternoon here exploring the history of the castle and the art inside. In my opinion, the destination is a local attraction that must be visited if one visits or stays longer in the Somma Lombardi area"

"What a gem. We were lucky to be in the neighbourhood on a Sunday and able to make a visit in the morning before our afternoon flight out of Melpansa. We all (adults and a young child) enjoyed our visit.
P.s. apparently the castle is open on Sundays only in August. At other times please check. We didnr book, just dropped by and luckily a tour had just started so no wait. But you may have to wait if you come between tours. Also; the tour was in Italian but we were given handsets which worked fine (good recorded information)"
