"This is a very nice little museum that is accessible from around Easter to end of September. You can see the old schoolrooms for the pupils of this really small village and how the farmers lived a century ago. There's also a new cobbler museum inside. Best thing is to take the beautiful walk from Kastelruth/Castelrotto to visit this lovely place."

"In a tiny village, Tagusa, nestled among meadows and woods, lies the school museum and a delightful little church.
It feels like a journey through time, but also into a fairytale world.
The school preserves wooden desks, inkwells and nibs, student notebooks from the early 1900s with impeccable handwriting, posters, musical instruments, and many other mementos of past lives.
Wonderful!!!"
ROBERTA RIZZATO
"The idea of preserving and enhancing this small school from a few decades ago, and opening it to the public, is beautiful. Entering it is like immersing yourself in the past; everything has remained as it was then: the classroom, the desks, the teacher's desk, the blackboard, the registers, the notebooks... And then many, many relics, period photos, objects and clothes from the past. Sitting among those desks is an experience that excites and that, especially for those who are no longer very young, undoubtedly takes you back in memory and in time... The school museum is located in Tagusa (a hamlet of Castelrotto), right near the small church of the village and can be reached (by car) at the end of a road a few kilometers long. Entrance is free."
