What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests consistently praise the exceptional service, spectacular spa, and outstanding culinary creations, particularly the breakfast and seafood dishes. While rooms are generally comfortable and clean, some find the showers to be small. The main drawback for some is the limited public transportation, making a car highly recommended for exploring the area.
"The best thing about this hotel is the service and the food. The chef at this hotel was nothing but spectacular. Breakfast was good, the croissants unbelievable. The meats and cheeses and pastries were great and the bread was freshly made and so delicious.
The rooms were OK. The shower was tiny, but the rest of the room was fine. The bed was comfortable and freshly made every day. There was ample closet space. It was very accessible.
The spa and pool were spectacular. I wasn’t used to a sulfur pool, although it was very healthy as I understand. There were lots of reclining chairs and people were very kind despite the fact that I didn’t speak the language.
I had a massage which was excellent. It was very fairly priced and the masseuse very good.
I wish the hotel was closer to the beach. And public transportation was dismal. If you’re going to southern Italy to the beach, you need to have a car or some other means of transportation. The beaches were lovely.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a wonderful trip and experience in southern Italy. Be aware that if you were coming down by train, you need to get transportation to the hotel. That was the most difficult part of his trip for me. I guess if I had communicated with the hotel, they probably would’ve sent somebody down to pick me up. That was my mistake. So that’s what I would recommend in the future. I would definitely come back to this hotel again, although there are so many beach towns in southern Italy that are very beautiful. Specifically, I would love to come back and sample more of this chef’s creations."
