Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Torre Flavia Marsh Nature Reserve for its unspoiled natural beauty, unique eco-beach access via a lagoon, and excellent birdwatching opportunities, especially during migration seasons. The community-driven conservation efforts and educational signage are also highly appreciated. Some find the abundance of mosquitoes in the evening a drawback, and the lack of facilities means visitors must be self-sufficient.

"I went here for the first time, in the evening to just check out the organization and general situation fully knowing it was not the season for the rare birds that nest in the Parco in winter. I just felt like birding and seeing a new place. The migration season will begin in a month and I went to see whatever. The Parco is well equipped with signage; there are rules to not allow dogs (excellent!!) and clearly the local community and children are involved and educated and educating about the bird reserve and all fauna and flora. The site is pretty big and clean. I saw swifts, gulls, many starlings, a marsh tit ( I think) and best of all about four European bee eater birds—very colorful and fun."

"A lovely eco beach-"the first run by children". You walk through the lagoon to get there, with signs showing the types of birds visible. The beach is unspoilt, with no facilities, which is how we like it.
There is a car park opposite the entrance that charges €3 for half a day and a veg shop, where if you spend €5, you can park for free. The owners keep your product in the cool until you return to your car. No dogs allowed. Luckily we'd left ours at home!"
