What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the Museo Ferroviario di Trieste Campo Marzio for its dedication to preserving railway history, particularly the collection of historic locomotives and model railways. However, many reviews mention the museum being closed for maintenance or reconstruction, leading to disappointment. The condition of some exhibits, while understandable given it's run by enthusiasts, is also noted.
"This museum is in an old train station, which is not in the best condition. Inside you will found quite a few model railway, a lot of used clothes, some switches and other stuff.
In the railway platform you will found a lot of steam, diesel and electric locomotives. But they are not in the best shape, many are full of rust, only one is restored at the time of my visit.
This museum is run by enthusiasts and not by railway company so with this information in mind and guessing that their budget is not very large, they are doing a great job at preserving railway history."

"Unfortunately it was closed, but I saw they were working on the Main Station and walking a little around, I did get to see some of their trains. One day I'll be back to get my tour"
No more Dream
"Only bad review as they say they were open on Google but are closed for maintenance"
