"...it is one and I would say the most important of the seven gates that are part of the medieval fortification of Urbino!!...it is Porta Valbona!!...it overlooks the Piazzale del Mercatale!!...and from here you enter the city!!...the monumental decoration of the gate was created on the occasion of the marriage of Federico Ubaldo della Rovere!!...with the princess of Tuscany Claudia dè Medici!!...on this occasion there were also other interventions on the Gate!!...even an epigraph dedicated to the newlyweds!!...with an inscription in Latin!!...clearly it has also undergone some restoration over time!!...it is however in a good state of conservation!!...beautiful and imposing!!...it is the Porta Valbona in Urbino!!...the main gateway to the beautiful historic center of the city!!...️️"
