Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Santo Stefano Rotondo for its unique circular architecture and remarkably preserved 5th-century frescoes, offering a profound historical and artistic experience. Many appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to explore without large crowds. However, a few negative experiences have been reported regarding the attitude of some individuals associated with the site.

"This is a unique basilica, which was initially established as a Roman temple dedicated to the Egyptian goddess Isis. The temple was consecrated as a Christian church in the fifth century and for a while served as the main cathedral of Verona. There are incredible frescoes and reliquaries, as well as a statue from the tenth century. It is certainly one of the places to visit when you are in Verona"

E K

"Amazing place!!

Besides its beauty, there’s always someone able to explain some curiosity about the church and its history."

Sibele Lazzaretti

"This is not a review of the Church, and I am not trying to discourage anyone from going there.

We were quietly sitting on the sidewalk, for shelter during a thunderstorm when the lady came and slammed the door shut behind us angrily. She didn't say a word, just let us sit outside in the rain and locked the door. What happened to the kindness and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"?

Again, the church itself looks beautiful and this experience would not stop me from visiting it."
