Reviews Summary
Visitors often describe Salerno Historic Center as a charming hidden gem, particularly praising its vibrant ceramics and pleasant seaside promenade. While some find certain modern additions less authentic, the overall experience of exploring the picturesque streets and enjoying the coastal views is highly regarded. It's a great spot for relaxed exploration and unique shopping.
"Hidden gem Simple’s a bonus to stop and walk the streets. Great views and really good place for ceramics. Lovely ceramics place all over town. Great beach front for sand sitting and family swiming"

"The so-called “Villa Comunale” in Vietri sul Mare is just meaningless nonsense. It’s basically an artificial walkway with some colorful mosaic tiles – nothing historic, nothing authentic. The fact that this is labeled a “sight” only shows how little the town actually offers.
Vietri already has plenty of beautiful natural viewpoints for photos; there’s no need to build an artificial plateau and call it a “city garden.” Good luck finding shade under the few trees here, especially in the blazing midday sun. Completely pointless as a tourist attraction."

"Such a cool, artsy little town that drifts down the side of the cliff down to the sea. The restaurants and shops are wonderful. If you like ceramics, you'll love this place."
