What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Villaggio Mancuso a charming and tranquil mountain village with unique Swiss-style architecture and beautiful forest surroundings. While appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere and hiking opportunities, many note that it can be very quiet, with numerous establishments closed on weekdays, and lament the abandoned state of historical buildings like the Albergo delle Fate.
"A charming little village with characteristic Swiss-style houses. It's definitely a destination for those who prefer tranquility and nature hikes, as it's practically in the middle of the Sila Piccola forest. Given the time of year and the lack of snow, when we arrived on Thursday, practically everything was closed, but that was different on the weekend. Still, it's an attraction; I hope someone invests in the village again, because it's worth it."
Rita Pellegrino
"A quaint little village in the Sila Mountains. Worth a visit."
Vincenzo Armentano
"A charming mountain village. Well-equipped with restaurants, hotels, many charming shops, and various services. Generally reasonably priced. Beautifully wooded with majestic Larch pines.
Unfortunately, its former main attraction, the fabulous Albergo delle Fate, entirely made of wood and nestled in a beautiful forest, has long been abandoned and in a state of complete abandonment, and is at risk of demolition."
