"A quaint village that has managed to enhance its scenic attractions without losing its identity. The walk to the Norman castle and the climb up Mount Tiriolo are pleasant. From the vantage points, you can enjoy a unique view of both the Tyrrhenian and Ionian seas; on clear days, you can even spot the Aeolian Islands.
The route to the castle is entirely within the village and very easy; the climb up the mountain takes about half an hour, is quite steep but not difficult, and is mostly shaded. The only drawback: the museum-observatory site at the summit currently appears to be in a state of neglect. At the end of the climb, there's no comfortable place to rest or anything to visit. A shame.
