A hidden gem well off the beaten tourists' path (especially for most foreigners). The building seems to be from late Meiji or Taisho era. Visitors are allowed to wait for their turn in either a really beautiful lobby in second floor, or at the rooftop to enjoy the scenery down to the street below. Complimentary instant coffee is provided near the patio at the rooftop.
The bath was small and the hot water, which is claimed to be not diluted, was iron-rich. Rumor has it that the water has strong medicinal properties."

"Free parking is on the opposite side of the road a few buildings away. Cozy retro onsen street but nothing like the usual onsen. Most users did not wash their hair nor bodies with soap. (None was provided but they do sell them at the counter if you need them.) They just rinse their bodies with the bath waters and in they go into the tiny bath. It's also recommended to not wash away the onsen waters off when you are done soaking. They have English instructions for you to read before getting into the bathing area.
I didn't suffer from itchy hives at all neither during nor after the soak. Guess the waters really has amazing properties for the skin. The free coffee on the 3rd floor was also delicious. I'm missing this place already.
