Visitors find the Aso Grassland Conservation Center to be an informative and valuable stop, especially given its free admission. It offers clear explanations of the Aso Geopark and the importance of grassland preservation, with helpful English resources. Some note it's more of a learning center than an exhibit-heavy attraction, but appreciate the insights into local conservation efforts.
"This is a part of Aso Kyuju National park and a nice place to visit on the way to Daikanbo if you want to know in detail about the Geopark. They have a lot of English guide pamphlets and also there are English speaking people to help foreigners. They conduct rituals to preserve the grass land such as controlled burning in every spring. They hold volunteer training to join these rituals so any body interested can join with prior reservations."
