What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bihoro Pass is widely celebrated for its magnificent panoramic views of Lake Kussharo, often described as one of Hokkaido's most spectacular sights. While the 'kare pan' snack is noted as a miss, the overall experience is highly recommended for nature lovers and photographers.
"Wonderful
Bihoro Pass is very famous, a plateau with views of Kusharo Lake surrounding the beautiful island, impeccable blue and green. really beautiful if you are a nature lover. From there you can also see the road twisting and turning with the sound of the wind blowing the typical mountain clumps like bamboo leaves. Autumn is a favorite for most people. Look for a sunny day at the peak of autumn - it's really cold there... the wind makes a loud but enchanting sound. there is a spot building to see the view safely from inside and this place is friendly for people with disabilities and the elderly. Inside the building they also sell various souvenirs, the famous kare pan, I don't recommend this because of the taste... but most people will just buy it once hahahha, fried sweet potato or hot potato is better... very suitable, tastes delicious and cheap. This place does not have public transportation so if you don't have a private car it will cost more for a taxi. You can order it from Bihoro station but it is very far and expensive. After coming from Bihoro Pass, I suggest taking the beautiful winding road below to visit Kusharo Lake. from there it is no less beautiful. Take a closer look at the views that are enchanting from afar and amazing up close, the sound of the lake's waves calms your mind"
