Reviews Summary
Visitors note that the main Bizen Pottery Museum is currently closed for rebuilding, with many finding only a construction site. However, the exhibition gallery at Bizen Station is a well-regarded alternative, showcasing a diverse range of Bizen ware and offering opportunities to purchase pieces. Limited English information is a common point, but the unique nature of Bizen ware is appreciated.
"This is NOT a review of Pottery Museum which is completely torn down and being rebuilt (as of january 2024). The exhibition gallery at the train station building - 3 minute walk - shows a wide range of significant Bizen potters. I saw many beautiful examples, current and past. A small bit of historical info. I found it easy to purchase a few pieces within my budget."
Barbara Obata
"Very much not open! Don't listen to Google. All there is to see is a construction site."
Jennifer Jenkins
"Closed!! It is very much completely closed. Do not go here and waste your time."
