What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Harajiri Falls is widely praised for its impressive natural beauty and the unique semi-circular shape of the cascade, all offered completely free of charge. Visitors appreciate the convenient free parking and the pleasant roadside station amenities. While some note the water flow can vary, the overall experience is considered a worthwhile stop, especially for those driving through the scenic Oita countryside.
"It's free, it's big, it's a sight. Unfortunately at the time I visited (July 7th, a week after the rainy season ended in 2025) it is less active and the flow was not so fierce. The location is actually also rather out of the way, so unless this is on the way to your next destination, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it. If it is on the way, then this is an easy recommendation. It's next to a very clean and neat roadside station with toilet facilities so it's really good."
