What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently describe Ningle Terrace as a magical, fairytale-like village, especially enchanting when illuminated at night. The unique artisan shops and forest setting are highly praised, though some note the paths can be steep and slippery, and insects may be present in warmer months.
"Absolutely beautiful place — even more magical at night, especially when it’s snowing.
The small wooden cabins, warm lights, and quiet forest atmosphere make the whole area feel like a fairy-tale village.
A peaceful and charming spot worth visiting in winter."

"Magical, especially at evening/ night time when all the lights are twinkling against the back drop of the forest. We visited it as part of our Furano tour. Each hut housed individual artisan crafting leather goods, earrings, mini wooden windmills, and other wooden trinkets.
The only caution noted are for the more mature visitors who might have a hard time with the steps which could be steep and sometimes slippery if wet or snowy. Other than that, this was a cute and fun place to explore."

"I visited this place in July 2025. The weather outside was quite hot (over 30°C), but once inside, it felt pleasantly cool and refreshing thanks to the many large trees providing shade. There is a parking area right in front of the entrance. The walking paths are made of sturdy wooden planks, making it easy to walk and not too steep.
There are many charming little shops throughout the area, making it a great spot to browse for souvenirs or gifts to take home."
