"November 15, 2025
I came here because the autumn leaves 🍁 are at their peak around Gujo.
I come here regularly, both by motorcycle and car.
I usually just drive around, take a few photos, and then call it a day, but this time I decided to dig a little deeper, lol.
I found some unexpectedly new places, which was interesting...
The further I went, the more untouched it felt, with animal droppings on the bridge and other signs of human intervention.
No matter how many times I've been here, there's always a strange sense of dread, lol.
The autumn leaves on the way to the trailhead for Mt. Ryokoku are also spectacular at this time of year.
Watch out for stink bugs!"

"Dam Tour: Gifu - Iwaya Dam (202503F)
This rockfill dam is 42.5 meters high and 238.0 meters long. It was built on the Ogadora River, a part of the Kiso River system, for flood control, irrigation, drinking water, industrial water, and power generation. The exhibition hall in front displays information about Iwaya Dam, and its windows offer a panoramic view of the dam. The dam's red seal is the only one available here. While vehicles can cross the top, construction was underway on both sides. The rugged rockfill landscape blends seamlessly with the surroundings. The water on the dam lake side is a deep blue, while the water downstream on the power generation facility side is a light green, creating a very different impression. It's likely possible to walk around the dam lake; on a nice day like this, it would be pleasant. Incidentally, the dam lake is about 16km long.
