"Amazing artifacts and free admission, little English information, but very friendly staff, free parking too"

Gaijin in Canton

"Visited on September 29, 2025.
This tumulus is just the right size, neither too big nor too small. It's famous for the large number of grave goods discovered there, which were never looted. Stopping by the nearby Ikaruga Cultural Properties Center before your visit will give you a better understanding. You can't enter the area where the sarcophagus is, but as you approach the entrance, a sensor automatically switches on the lights, allowing you to see the sarcophagus, which still has a slight reddish tint. It's well-presented.
I'm satisfied, but unfortunately the rain diminished its appeal. But it can't be helped, given the weather."
