"This is the observation deck at the top of Takenotsuji, which, at an altitude of 212.8 meters, is the highest place in Iki Island.
Takenotsuji is a hill rather than a mountain, and you can reach this place by car (just need to walk some 100 meters from the parking.)
From here you can see a panorama view, including Tsushima to the north and Kyushu mainland to the south, weather permitting.
This is why a smoke signal station was placed here in the ancient times, when there were conflicts against foreign countries."

"The Iki City observation deck on top of a hill was a great spot with a quiet, pleasant breeze. You could see the sea and cityscape all around the island. The wind was strong on the day we went, but it was sunny and the view was truly amazing. It was around 3 p.m., but there were few tourists, so it was impressive to be able to enjoy the view in peace. There were benches, too, so it was perfect for relaxing."
