Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Kawazu Bagatelle Park Rose Garden for its stunning display of over 1,100 rose varieties and its charming French-inspired atmosphere. The park's dog-friendly policies, including a dedicated dog run and pet-friendly cafe, are a significant highlight. However, some visitors note that bloom intensity can vary, with spring and autumn festivals offering the most spectacular sights.

"During rose season, the garden is filled with tourists, enthusiasts, and photographers alike, eager to see the beautiful and abundant variety of roses in full bloom.
In addition, strolling through the garden captivates visitors with the diverse scents of roses, from sweet and vibrant to fruity.
This rose garden is a sister garden of France's Bagatelle Rose Garden, and its architecture and other features evoke a French charm.
The best time to see the flowers is from mid-May to late June in spring and mid-October to mid-November in autumn, with grand rose festivals held in both seasons.
The garden also houses a stylish restaurant/café that's sure to appeal to women, offering a menu unique to the rose garden.
I also went to an Italian restaurant with a fellow photographer (lol).
Of course, it was delicious... Since you're here, you'll want to do more than just look; you'll also want to fill your stomach with delicious food.
It's a great place to stop by during your trip to Izu.
Highly recommended.
When you go out...
If you're driving... there's free parking available with space for approximately 200 cars, including large buses.
If you're using public transportation... get off at Kawazu Station on the Izu Kyuko Line and take a bus or taxi, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
Please do!
Thank you for reading to the end.
There are only a few photos, but I'd be happy if you took a look."

"When I visited, the roses were not in full bloom, but I was still able to see some beautiful roses. There is an admission fee to enter the rose garden area, so I recommend taking a leisurely stroll around the area."

"It was October and they were holding the Autumn Rose Fair, but not many roses were in bloom. Spring might be more spectacular. There were many areas where it seemed like the roses were still growing. It's nice to stroll through the well-maintained garden, but if you're coming from outside the prefecture and paying the admission fee, spring is a good time. I also thought it was nice that there was a dog run inside."
