What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Kyogamisaki Lighthouse for its spectacular Sea of Japan panoramas and the rewarding, albeit steep, hike to reach it. The historic lighthouse itself is a point of interest, and the site is noted for being well-maintained with convenient parking and facilities at the base. Some caution that winter weather can be harsh with strong winds.
"The easiest going down towards the parking then hike up to the lighthouse.
If enjoy hiking instead taking the road down to the parking lot, take trail on the left of road. It will take you down then back into the mountain trail to the lighthouse. Beware that the trial has not been maintained at all and is very challenging.
I’d recommend driving down to the parking lot the hike up to the lighthouse."

"If the weather is great, this place is an amazing place for the view point! I saw some tourists there as the tour bus comes by there. So i happened to find that this is a tourist spot! Indeed, it’s a nice and beautiful place where you can look over the Japan ocean! During the winter time, this place is windy so I recommend that you bring your jacket or windbreaker of your choice!
Look around and take some photos as well have a good time there! Enjoy and cheers!"
