What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Yushien Garden is widely praised as a stunning and well-maintained Japanese garden, offering breathtaking beauty across all seasons. Visitors highlight its peaceful atmosphere and unique floral displays, particularly the iconic peony pond. While the entrance fee is cash-only and can be a bit steep, most agree the experience is well worth the price.
"I paid a premium price for the peony viewing, but it turned out to be a very small area located right at the entrance. There were no other flowers, and the rest of the garden had little to see — I finished walking through it in about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, since I came by public transport, I had to wait nearly two hours for the next bus.
If you plan to visit, it’s better to come in spring. I would not recommend visiting by public transport outside of that season."

"The gardens were small, but stunning! The waterfall in the back is easy to miss, so be sure to take the right after the bridge. Lunch was very good."
