"A wonderful tribute to an illustrator that anyone growing up in Japan will be familiar with. The museum not only features originals (and carefully produced conservatory grade reproductions of those too delicate to display) but also a huge library of Japanese language children’s picture books that visitors can browse and read at their leisure. Newly added is a full scale reproduction of the train car classroom and library where you can sit and read children’s books. Our kids (aged 9 and 12 and with a decent grip of Japanese) loved this place, reading books for hours."
