Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Isshingyo Great Cherry Tree, calling it one of the best hanami events. The ancient tree's beauty, especially when contrasted with yellow nanoha flowers, is a major draw. While the entrance fee is unexpected for some, it's generally accepted as supporting the park and its festival, which offers delicious local food.

"One of the best hanami events in the country
The park is home to one famous cherry tree. It's an absolute giant, measuring over 14 meters tall, and said to be over 400 years old.
Spring is one of the best times to be in Japan when the nationwide cherry blossom celebrations see the country erupt with parties and joy as the sakura trees burst into bloom. I come with friends, head to the park to enjoy some quality time outside enjoying food and drinks."

Not fully blooming yet but still beautiful! Take note of a Small back alley lane going 2 ways."

"Such a beautiful cherry tree! It's apparently over 400 years old, but was slightly damaged most recently in a typhoon in 2004. It looks especially beautiful surrounded by the yellow nanoha flowers. It can be difficult to get a good picture when it's crowded, but just get creative with your angles! We visited in late March this year.

We weren’t expecting the 300 yen entrance fee, but didn’t mind since it probably helps upkeep the area and we had access to the small festival too. The apple taiyaki and Taiwanese style fried chicken were both delicious!"
