"Genbei river was a fun excursion! I was riding the rented bike from my hotel and I thought I’d go site-seeing in the Mishima area. I first went to the Temple and did my routinary prayers to the gods. It was a short bike ride to the river, as soon as I got there and parked my bike, I heard the laughs of happy kids. There were families there who were cooling off from the very hot and humid sunday(34C).
I took off my shoes and started walking riverside. It is not a big river, only about 4 meters wide and about 2 feet deep. It has a good current where kids can float on the floaties. The water was cold and refreshing and VERY CLEAN!! It was clear and it did not have any smells. What makes it all perfect is that the whole river was under a canopy of trees and there were lots of places to sit down and just relax.
This quaint little river is worth the visit. =)"
