Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Ikenotaira Onsen Ski Resort's suitability for beginners and intermediates, praising the wide, well-maintained slopes and the incredibly convenient slope-to-hotel access. The friendly staff and delicious buffet dining, featuring live cooking stations, also receive high marks. While some find it limited for advanced skiers, the overall experience is consistently described as enjoyable and relaxing.

"Recently stayed here for 3 nights, and had the best time. Service was amazing from the start, we missed our train there and needed to change our shuttle bus pick up time, which they were so lovely about and were quick to respond and arrange via email (we didn’t have a working phone line to call). Everyone at the resort was lovely and friendly, from the beautiful front desk staff to the ski rentals.

The ski slopes lead directly down to the resort entrance, which made popping in and out of the hotel (for the toilet, to eat, for a rest) very convenient, especially as newbie skiers. The snow fields were also very well maintained, regularly being flattened out for walking etc.

We looked forward to breakfast and dinner every day (buffet style), for dinner there were chefs frying fresh tempura/karaage in front of you, and personal hotpot if you wish, which were lovely options after a long cold day in the snow.

Even at the very end, we were delivered back to the station via shuttle, where our lovely driver also alighted to make sure we didn’t struggle with getting train tickets back.

We had the best time at Alpen Blick, and would absolutely recommend this place to others! Would love to come back :)"
