My visit at Studio Ghibli Commemorative Park last year was not so great because ticket booking should be a month before your visit. This year, I’ve finally secured a ticket which allowed me to visit the Studio Ghibli Grandwarehouse. Can’t believe that I’m seeing scenes from a Ghibli movie. 🫶 #HelloJapan #traveltiktok

The Studio Ghibli park in Nagakute, Japan! I was able to go for free as my university is a partner with the park, but I believe tickets range around $60-$70. I had the O-Sanpo day pass, but the Premium pass is required to enter certain areas like Howl’s Castle or Satsuki and Mei’s house. #studioghibli #ghibli #hayaomiyazaki #totoro #myneighbortotoro #arrietty #kikisdeliveryservice #jiji #howlsmo...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Ghibli's Grand Warehouse for its immersive atmosphere, incredible attention to detail, and faithful recreation of beloved Studio Ghibli worlds. It's a visual treat for fans and newcomers alike, offering numerous photo opportunities and a unique cinematic experience. However, the difficulty in securing tickets and potential long queues for popular attractions are common drawbacks.

"I visited the Grand Warehouse around noon since that was the entry time I booked. The place is quite big and well designed, with many nice photo spots. Even though I’m not a big fan of Studio Ghibli, I still felt really impressed by the atmosphere and attention to detail. Everything looks beautiful and well made, and I enjoyed walking around and taking lots of pictures at different spots.

The most popular place was the No-Face character from Spirited Away. Many people were lining up to take pictures there, and I had to wait for about an hour before it was my turn. It was a long wait, but the setup was great and worth it in the end. Other areas were much less crowded, so I could take photos comfortably without waiting too long.

There’s also a small theater showing something related to Ghibli, but it was all in Japanese, so I couldn’t understand it and didn’t stay for the whole show.

Overall, the Grand Warehouse is a nice place to visit, even if you’re not a Ghibli fan. It’s clean, well organized, and has a good atmosphere. I recommend booking your time slot in advance and going early if you want to take photos with the popular characters like No-Face. It’s an enjoyable experience and a great spot for photos."

"We visited on a Monday with tickets for the 1 p.m. slot (¥2,000 / adult), arriving at 1:30 p.m. Entry was immediate with no waiting time. The only significant queue encountered was for the Kaonashi photo spot, which took approximately 45 minutes. Access to the remaining exhibits was generally smooth.

The Grand Warehouse is substantial in size; the visit required about three hours to complete. Considering the extent of the exhibition material, the admission price offers reasonable value.

The park offers limited dining choices, but outside food is permitted and can be consumed in designated areas. Parking is available (¥500 on weekdays / ¥1,000 on weekends)."

"Best section in Ghibli Park!

A lot of themed photo spots, and the line moves fairly quickly. You can also see a cute short movie. We had the 10am slot, so we only waited 5 minutes for the photo backdrops. We did have to wait outside to get into the building though, but we were among the first group to get into the building and it was worth it.

The gift shop is rather expensive, but they do have a good selection."
