"Another typical JR Station that is in one of the well know cities. I was only transferring there from shinkensan to JR but it was relatively smooth and easy to navigate around without any issue. As many other JR stations, it has washrooms, tons of signs and guidance in various languages on aiding tourist and shops."

"Took a day trip from Kyoto to explore Nagoya & it was super convenient - just a 35-minute ride on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen. Around Nagoya Station, there are plenty of interesting shopping malls, like Midland Square & Comtech Tower.
We also visited the Toyota Commemorative Museum, which is just a 5-minute local train ride on the Inuyama Line from Nagoya Station to Sako Station. Additionally, we joined a factory tour at the Kirin Beer Brewery, which is also only 5 minutes away by local train to Biwajima Station.
One important tip: if you’re booking a private tour to visit Shirakawa-go, don’t arrange your pickup at Nagoya Station. The traffic around the station is chaotic. Instead, pick up at Gifu-Hashima Station, just one stop away, where it’s much quieter."
