"This is the remains of Oko Castle, one of the 100 most famous castles in Japan. I went by car, but I was able to park at the Kochi Prefectural Museum of History and Folklore.
You can get a stamp at the museum, so you can also get some materials.
The castle as a whole seems to be quite large. I decided to climb towards the inner citadel (main citadel).
The museum is already located about halfway up, so I arrived in about 10 minutes. It was nice to see the earthworks and moats along the way.
The foundation stones are preserved at the inner citadel, giving a glimpse of the old buildings.
The view was also great, and I could see quite far into the distance."
